Overview
The Scored program is for athletes 14 years old and older as of January 1st. Scored racing offers a competitive environment for US Ski and Snowboard club athletes and independents to race against other athletes across Minnesota and parts of WI, participate in a season long competition for the Minnesota Cup, and qualify for age appropriate upper level racing in Rocky / Central Jr. Championships and International FIS Races.
CR1 competitions are held on Saturdays and Sundays during the ski season at ski areas across Minnesota and Wisconsin. Some 3 day race formats may include a Friday or Monday during the school year, but every attempt is made to minimize these.

Seeding Method for 2023
For a select number of scored races, the first run start order will be seeded randomly. The second run start order will be a full reverse of the first run start order. The goal of this is to equalize the playing field, and challenge even our top athletes to perform from anywhere in the start list. This should also allow the majority of our athletes who are not consistently the fastest, to ski closer to those on the podium, potentially resulting in a lower point result. It is important to note that all races run in this format will still be scored within the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Points system.

Minnesota Cup
Scored racers are part of a season-long competition, called the Minnesota Cup, using the old-school World Cup scoring system to rank an athlete's season long performance across multiple disciplines. Awards are given at year end to the top three male and female athletes in an overall multi-discipline award. See the Minnesota Cup tab for more information
Out of Division Racing
U16 and older Scored racers can also qualify through the selection processes for additional out of division events such as out of division USSS racing or the U16 Rocky / Central Jr. Championships and upper level racing such as the Northern Michigan University Mid Am FIS Series. See the selections tab for more information.
