Overview
The Non-Scored program is for athletes Under 14 years old as of January 1st. Non-Scored racing offers a competitive environment for US Ski and Snowboard Club athletes and independent athletes to race against other regional athletes across Minnesota, participate in a season-long competition for the Planet Cup, and allow U14 age athletes qualify for championship level racing at Central Division Junior Championships.
CR1 competitions are held mostly on Saturdays and Sundays during the ski season at ski areas across Minnesota and Wisconsin. Some 3-day race formats may include a Friday or Monday during the school year, but every attempt is made to minimize these.

Planet Cup
U14 and younger racers are part of a season-long competition using the World Cup scoring system to rank an athlete's season long performance across multiple disciplines. Awards are given at year end in each age group to the top ten male and female athletes in each event as well as an overall multi-discipline award. See the Planet Cup tab for more information
Championship Racing
U14 racers (12 and 13 years old) can attend the Central Jr. Championships. See the selections tab for more information.
Out of Division Racing
For the 2024-2025 race season, U14 and younger races are allowed to race out of Central Division. Athletes must first have their coach contact the Central Division Development Manager, Patrick Mich, to gain permission to leave Central. Patrick will then contact the host club and Division to ask permission for athletes to attend their races, some races are not open to out-of-division racers because of field size and other restrictions. If an athlete signs up for a race without gaining permission first, they may not receive a refund from the host club.
